Two Tribeca commercial ground floor spaces on Walker Street in need of clean up and upgrade to accommodate two new galleries. The cleanup included removals of layers of previous built rooms to existing wood floors and brick lot-line walls. One gallery looked for a white envelope against the existing finished wood floor. This gallery also required historic restoration of metal sloping skylights at rear yard per Landmarks Preservation Guidelines. The other gallery looked to reveal the existing brick walls and wide plank wood floors with minimal manipulation. Both spaces retained minimal permanent elements for the galleries flexibility.
