Mixed Use Landmark Residential - 2013

An addition to a 5-story landmarked Italianate building on Franklin Street in Tribeca NYC. The exterior façade is restored to its previous original condition by removing the fire escape, restoring the storefront, full restoration of the marble façade, replacing the windows and repairing the cornice. The 1.5- story rooftop addition creates a mid-floor on the upper level with double-height space and skylights adding as much space as possible within the strict rules outlined by NYC Landmarks. The interior work references the historical details of the building, but with an entirely new construction.
